PROJECT VIDOES
ANIMATION
Animation projects are always fun but can be challenging and complicated, due to learning intensive software like Adobe After Effects. As a designer that loves to work with Adobe Photoshop and physical art forms, these two animation projects allowed me to widen my abilities to another medium.
Both projects are vastly different from one another, showing how diverse animation can be. I may not be Disney's next choice into the world of animation but I do understand the basics and how to pull off certain themes or ironically enough a website, which you're browsing on right now - also created by me!
SUGAR POP

My title sequence highlights Western life and its pop culture after World War Two ends (1945 onwards). It does this by referencing both popular and niche artworks from various Pop Art artists within the time period of the late 1940's to the 60's, this would later be known as the Art Pop movement. The overall mood of the sequence is to sugar-coat the war, portraying a sense of relief from the public when the fighting was over through popular things during that time.
The animation ranges from upbeat music, and care free animation that tells a story. Pop Art has huge clichés associated with it in present times. With overly done cartoony graphics and blinding colours. These pieces of work are often created with little to no research and generalises the historical art movement. This title sequence combats this and is inspired by real pieces that helped incite the Pop Art movement and pays homage to it.
LONDOME
This brief allowed me to to create a website that promotes a place. I decided to promote London. The city is not always portrayed as being particularly that nice to visit, especially if you live nearby. To tackle this, I wanted to take the opportunity to share the wonderful places that I have been to in London and present the locations all on a website with smooth animations.
Using Adobe XD, I began designing this website to support both mobile and web platforms (walkthrough video displayed in full below). One of the main concerns of this project was involving my target audience, which is why I created a questionnaire that tailors to their choices and results in giving them a personalised destination that they can visit within London.
